A 2D Star-Trek-based game made using Pygame, complete with sounds and images.

Preface

When Hurricane Beryl hit Texas in July 2024, my house had a blackout for almost 24 hours, and it left me with nothing to do. So, I fired up my laptop and started coding a game to pass the time. I'd recently started watching Star Trek, and I was fascinated by all of the big starships that were in the show, so the idea for a Star Trek-based game instantly popped into my head. I decided it would be similar to Space Invaders, but the enemy ships would be coming down the screen, and the player could have more freedom of movement.
